Victoria Waters is assistant director of Mcity, the University of Michigan-led public-private R&D center working to advance transportation safety, sustainability, and accessibility through connected and driverless vehicles. In this role, she leads strategic engagement with the center’s industry, academic and government partners.

Waters joined Mcity at its launch in 2014. As project coordinator, she oversaw administrative support functions, partner engagement and event planning. In 2015, she was promoted to Collaboration Manager, adding responsibility for recruiting new partners, and coordinating Mcity’s research funding process. Waters was promoted to assistant director in 2019.

Waters has over twenty years of experience in non-profit organizations, with responsibility for programs at the New York City Campaign Finance Board, the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, and the University of Michigan School of Social Work.

Waters holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from Fordham University in New York.
