Project Abstract

Self-contained, robust data acquisition system capturing depth/video/objects at locations in Ann Arbor with a high probability of pedestrian/vehicle interaction, such as crosswalks, parking garage entrances/exits, etc. Data will be collected via Flir thermal cameras and Zed stereo camera for at least 4 hours to yield synchronized, open datasets with high concentration of pedestrian/vehicle interactions.

Project Outcome

Collect datasets to better understand mobility challenges in urban/suburban settings while maintaining residents’ privacy and to reduce dangerous vehicle/human interactions via infrastructure sensing.
