Simulation software company rFpro announced it has created a digital twin of the Mcity Test Facility The digital twin allows manufacturers and technology suppliers to speed up development using simulations. It contains different roadside objects and materials to ensure accurate simulation of radar, lidar and camera sensors. rFpro’s survey grade lidar equipment captured a digital copy of Mcity’s testing environment accurate to less than 1mm.
There are now eight companies offering digital twins of Mcity.
