The University of Michigan is partnering with the Michigan Economic Development Corp. (MEDC) on a pilot program to foster hiring in the electric vehicle, mobility, aerospace and defense industries by providing access to participating employers and scholarships.
About the Program
The Michigander Scholars Program, funded by MEDC’s Talent Action Program, includes U-M, Kettering University, Michigan State University, Michigan Technological University, and Wayne State University. Mcity is administering the program for U-M.
The goal is to connect engineering and computer science students interested in careers in EVs, mobility, aerospace, or defense with Michigan-based companies looking for talent, and provide scholarships to students who take positions in Michigan with participating companies. The Michigander Scholars program is open to undergraduates and graduate students on all U-M campuses.
