Mcity, CCAT, UMTRI, Solar Team represent U-M at AutoMobili-D 2022
In September 2022, AutoMobili-D returned to Huntington Place in Detroit (formerly known as Cobo Center) for the first time since 2019 as part of the 2022 North American International Auto Show. The state of Michigan’s University Research Corridor institutions showcased their work in transportation and mobility.
Representatives from Mcity, the Center for Connected and Automated Transportation (CCAT) and the U-M Transportation Institute (UMTRI), along with the U-M Solar Car team, met with auto companies and suppliers, government officials and media during the event, held ahead of the auto show’s public opening.
Research highlighted in U-M’s exhibit included Mcity 2.0, CCAT’s Safe AI Framework for Trustworthy Edge Scenario Tests (SAFE TEST), and UMTRI’s Smart Intersection Projects.
AutoMobili-D was open to media and industry only. The U-M exhibit drew about 100 visitors, and was a show tour stop for elected officials and candidates running for office in the state of Michigan. The lawmakers included Rep. Felecia Brabec, a Democrat from Pittsfield Township, near Ann Arbor.
