Mcity Driverless Shuttle testing begins

Mcity has launched the testing phase of the Mcity Driverless Shuttle. Two fully-automated, electric shuttles will be used to transport University of Michigan students, faculty, and staff between the North Campus Research Complex (NCRC) near Plymouth Road and the Lurie Engineering Center on U-M’s North Campus. Mcity expects theĀ shuttle to open to riders by spring 2018.
The Mcity Driverless Shuttle is a research deployment. Mcity will study how passengers react to the driverless shuttle as a way to gauge consumer acceptance of the technology.
