Partnering transactions and intellectual property in the automated vehicle industry

In order to investigate the means by which the automated vehicle industry will reach widespread commercialization, Mcity researchers studied technology transactions and intellectual property rights. The transactions covered included agreements involving the development, licensing and supply of technology, products and services. To better understand these transactions and their effects, the researchers reviewed the reasons why companies partnered in many other sectors and identified key issues in strategic alliance negotiations.
