Mcity joins global alliance focused on advanced mobility testing, standardization

Mcity has joined the International Alliance for Mobility Testing & Standardization (IAMTS).  IAMTS is a global, membership-based alliance of stakeholders in the testing, standardization and certification of advanced mobility systems and services.

IAMTS is an SAE Industry Technologies Consortia (ITC) program. Mcity is one of twenty-one members who have joined IAMTS since it was chartered last year.  The group’s goal is to develop a global portfolio of smart mobility testbeds, including the Mcity Test Facility, that meet the highest standards for implementation and operations.

“We are pleased to join the International Alliance for Mobility Testing and Standardization (IAMTS), ” said Mcity Director Huei Peng, who is also the Roger L. McCarthy Professor of Mechanical Engineering at U-M. “The work of the IAMTS is critical, and will ensure that we coordinate internationally. I’d like to thank SAE and IEEE for their leadership in organizing this group.”
